They were just discussing on ESPN if he'll be ready to go on Thursday. Not that it matters since this game more or less is meaningless, but for anyone heading to the game and expecting to see him play that's the deal

High ankle sprains take time to heal, and can be easily re-injured. They would be stupid to play him in a meaningless preseason game if he's not 100%. Then again, they are called the Bungles for a reason.
hope he's ok. that can be an injury that's tricky and takes a while to heal.
i just checked and, i didn't realize it, but Palmer turns 30 this December. there are a lot of high and unfulfilled expectations for someone who is just two years younger than Brady. This will be his sixth season, including the one lost to injury. he's started 65 games, going 32-33 for the hapless bungles; one great and one really good season.
makes you realize how great a role that luck plays in the success of an nfl qb...i hope that palmer can achieve the success and recognition that he seems to deserve

He's already 30, wow, time flies

Speaking of the Bengals, has anyone been watching their camp on HBO? Marvin Lewis seems to get nervous in front of the cameras...it's kind of funny. I definitely also question a lot of the drills as compared to what goes on here in Foxboro, doesn't seem to have much to do with getting better at executing on offense, defense, special teams, etc. But I'm certainly no expert - he's a pro and the guy who coached them to 4 wins last season

In looking at last year's stats, I never realized the Bengals managed to be the worst team in the league in both YPG and PPG. Now, I realize they only had Palmer for a quarter of the season and Fitzpatrick is no Palmer but, on a team with both TJ Whosyourmama and Chad Whackjob, how could they have managed to be THAT bad?
Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers have obviously passed Palmer in ranking the top QBs,Sad thing is that Palmer when 100% is actually as good or better than either of them

I was hoping for nothing but the best for Carson. After that playoff game in 2005, he has had nothing but crap for luck. Now it doesn't look like that luck is going to improve as a high ankle sprain is the worst that you could possibly receive.
