Default SBB's Postgame reaction

I have done so many of these for preseason and get them out quick I took my time because most everyone saw the game.

I think the rookies looked really good. And one play that highlighted this for me was the run stuff on 3rd and short by the goal line. On first Glance it appeared Chung filled the hole and made the play but when I watched again Brace leaned off his block and pulled him down. I think Chungs presence caused some hesitation by the back and it was enough for Brace.
Also Butler shaking off the PI that lead to the TD and getting that INT on the conversion shows some charector. I really think he baited the QB too I thought he bit on the inside move but he either reacted well and stayed with the reciever or he was baiting the QB.

One thought came to mind as to why we might be running a lot of 4-3 and some guys wont like my reason as they hate on old LBs but I think without Bruschi we don't really have a second ILB who is proficient at taking on guards as needed in 3-4. I think having Seau on speed dial will be huge because we might need someone other than Bru and Mayo who can do this. Maybe some of the other guys get better at it as time goes on.

Merriweather continues to be the leader in the secondary and had some nice plays.

I think justifibly our Olines strength is clearly pass blocking and they did fantastic at that last night.

Special teams had a really good day..PR to the house, blocked FG, good coverage, and the missed FG at the end I think was caused by Akers rushing as both Butler and Chung were coming.

I will stop here as I am getting redundant and its long enough already.

I missed the game to attend to a very important striped bass appointment.

Will the NFL Network do a re-broadcast?

Good analysis as usual, SBB. The the one thing that I can honestly bad mouth the offense about was the line's run blocking. It was borderline putrid and needs to be worked on. Maroney has been taking an unfair amount of flak for that last night and today when the reality is that he really didn't have any running room to operate with. However, the pass blocking was stellar as they repeatedly held the Philly D-Line back.

What did you think about the physicality that the secondary showed (particularly James Sanders)?

Although it's just one pre-season game, I still felt a lot of relief afterward.

I am VERY encouraged by what I've seen so far in TC and this first game.

I agree with you completely. There's a LOT of folks who apparently forget that the RB is a part of a TEAM, and that ALL the components have to be working together for ANY part of it to see success.

I think the Physicality of the Secondary was great but I must say Sanders is an inigma to me I just never seem to notice him good or bad. I guess that is a good thing because we notice when guys get burnt he just isn't a huge playmaker. Note: this is more an assesment of his time here than last night.

Did he get a lot of PT? I watched the whole game and the first half a second time and didn't notice him much
