Default Reid on Eagles and first preseason game against the Pats

NFL: ESPN analyst Chris Mortensen has observations on the Philadelphia Eagles during his bus tour of training camps. - ESPN

Quote:
# Reid is relishing the team's first preseason game against the Patriots on Thursday night.

"We have played them every preseason since I've been here," he said. "Bill Belichick and I are good friends and we like to get after each other, even in preseason, whether it's ones vs. ones, twos vs. twos or threes vs. threes. I think I'm one up on Bill in the preseason series. Unfortunately, he's got three [Super Bowl] trophies on me."

# As for the Eagles' expecting to be the first team Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has seen since his knee injury in Week 1 last season, Reid said: "It will be good to see Tom Brady out there. He means a lot to that team and to the league. He's good for the game."
funny about the trophies line

Andy Reid has always been a classy guy. His kids have let him down, that's for sure, but he's always been up front on pretty much everything.

To be honest, it's amazing that any head coach can last as long as they do, considering the stress and schedules they have as a normal part of their jobs.

Respects,

And if you remember during spygate, he was one of the few not to weigh in, steering questions away with a simple "that's something that Bill and the Patriots are working through."
That may be partly out of respect for Belichick but partly because he may have skeletons of his own of that nature that he didn't want disclosed....

I like Reid, his a good coach. Good thing it wanst McNabb or else he'd bring on all that spygate bullcrap and ask for his SB ring back.

Reid is a classy guy, but I've always thought that he looks like a Walrus...

Creator of the Pats must draft Jason Verrett in 2014 no matter the cost fanclub.

watching the NFL network and they had a preview on the Eagles. they looked pretty good in training camp. these guys are going to win the Super Bowl one of these days. i just hope we don't play them this year because of the revenge factor.

"He’s the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. He goes from being a rookie that nobody is expecting anything from, to taking over with people saying he can’t do it, to winning three Super Bowls....It should already be obvious he’s the greatest quarterback to ever have played. "

- Steelers S Troy Polamalu on Tom Brady

Yes, Philly, NYC and Boston are like the 3 lowest levels of h3ll with the media being the demon spawn. They relish getting a chance to stick the prongs in deep... and then twisting.

Mike Schmidt, the Hall of Fame Phillies 3rd baseman put it best when describing the Philly media,
" Only in Philadelphia can you experience the thrill of victory and the agony of reading about it the next day in the newspaper."
