Patriots negotiating with Cleo Lemon

Posted: August 1st, 2009

The Patriots were impressed enough with the workout by quarterback Cleo Lemon on Friday to issue a contract offer, according to a league source, with the sides working on a deal.

Can he still predict the future and talk to spirits from beyond the grave?

Personally, I would take any of O'Connell, Gutz, and/or Hoyer over Lemon.

If they are gonna sign another QB, I'd much rather them sign Brian Griese or even Andrew Walter than Lemon. Lemon is awful.

Quick, go tell BB before they do something they'll regret.

I don't think Lemon is awful, I think he has some nice qualities as a player. He has ok size at 6-2, 215 and he seems fairly athletic. He also seems to have a strong arm. He's reportedly a smart player who can read coverages. People are probably thinking of his days in Miami but that team had no talent at all on offense, the one guy they did got hurt -- Brown. I remember the OL was terrible and he looked good despite that by moving well in the pocket.

Concur, I wonder if he can play some WR too?

Lemon is what BB looks for in QB. Which is first and foremost he won't cost you the game.

Lemon has a 1.8 int %. How low is that? Matt Cassel 2.3% Peyton Manning 2.8%. Favre's was 3.3%. Tom Brady 2.4%.
