Miguel lists the remaining cap at $5M, unless they start to do major restructuring there is no way the can sign Wilfork (or anyone else).
Next year Seymour & Wilfork all hit free agency, one will be franchised, one will likely be gone. That is the way the cookie crumbles.

The following figures include the cap impact of the Darius Butler signing and my guesstimates at the cap impact of the Rich Ohrnberger, Nathan Hodel, Al Johnson, Wesley Britt, Russ Hochstein, Chris Hanson, and Terrence Nunn. According to my figures the Patriots' 2009 cap figure is $124,776,058 with 76 signed players and 10 tendered players. The 2009 salary cap is $127,997,000. The Patriots' 2009 adjusted cap is $129,831,466. I like to thank Adamjt13 for providing the information about the Patriots' adjusted cap number. So I have the Pats under their adjusted cap by about $5.055 million. Profootballalltalk.com reported on 5/15 that the Pats were under their adjusted cap by about $5.1 million before the cap was increased by $947,000 so my numbers were off by about $356,000 at that time. That is, the Pats are under their adjusted cap by about $5.4 million.
