Miguel would know this better than I, but I think he might.
In any case, however, there is an explicit rule that says a contract that if a team trades AWAY a player within 24 hours of the player signing a contract, then there is no need to have the cap room for that player's contract. [It's a moot point here, however, because Peppers' tender is already on their books.]
