Default Bills looking to trade DE Chris Kelsay for 2nd day pick - Pats interest?

Bills newspapers report that the Bills are stacked at DE and are also looking to add-on a DE in this years draft and are willing to deal Kelsay who has been injured for the past 2 years and are reported to be asking for a 3rd or 4th rounder in the 09 draft.

Would you deal a 3rd or 4th for this guy?

Do we have any reason to believe he can play standing up and cover people in space?

a 3rd or 4th for a player to be a backup IF he can stay healthy? I'll pass.

I dont' know if he is a good fit given he doesn't have the 3-4 background. I'm not sure where he fits positionally.

Also, he makes decent money (2 years left for about $6.7M in salary), which is probably too much given he would be a backup here.

While I don't know if he could transition to an OLB or not, his name was really sticking out to me for some reason and it wasn't just because he played for Nebraska. I looked back at his game log and guess what team he just happened to have some of his best games against? Yep, the Patriots. Now this may be nothing but Belichick really takes notice of FAs and possible trade candidates when that player has had a history of playing good against us.

I don't see it. Kelsay has been playing in a system that resembles the Tampa 2 more so then it does the 3-4. What Kelsay does in Buffalo is a totally different role then the one that he would be filling here.

how and why do they sign a guy making 3-4m in exchange for a hand picked player who would be making essentially nothing?

aren't they about 4-5m under the cap?
