And finally did Wilfork have to put his elbow out as he fell???

He was fined for it to.

Improving player safety is the primary motivation behind three recommendations that are expected to be approved in voting by all 32 team owners during the four-day meeting:
So where exactly did you see they instituted it? This is a article about stuff they will be voting on........

EDIT: Probably should change your thread title way misleading

Wow, I've never seen the hit on Losman from that second angle. If you don't think that was intentional, you need your head felt.

Nope, no flag. It was as plain as day what he did and everyone could see it. I bet it was the fact that Losman was still holding the ball when Wilfork was on his way down. Of course, he was supposed to wrap up Losman not elbow drop him like he was pretending to be Greg "The Hammer" Valentine.

The best argument that it wasn't intentional--why would the Patriots want a better QB coming into the game?

Talk about egg on Wilfork's face. Edwards drove them down for a touchdown on that drive too.

This is what I was thinking and you try to stop 350lbs on a dime....I really doubt before the play he said to himself, "I wonder if I can take his knee out so he cannot continue to have a horrible game"

I think Wilfork was happy with the end result of that game. Egg in his face that was a good one. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine was a figure four leg lock type of guy. I think you are looking for the Macho Man Randy Savage.

I didn't mean as a finishing move, I meant just trying to wear a guy down. From a standing position, "The Hammer" liked to drop a few elbows.
