Default Would you trade Kevin if Josh calls

How many here will trade kevin the backup qb and for what price.

If Josh is forced to deal cutler i see kevin being the QB who he spend time in cali before the 08 draft and had a hand in drafting[Josh was the QB coach too].
Also, as the no2 guy Josh worked with him over last year and honestly the only qb he can get who he has worked with in the past and in this case had a hand in drafting.

so will you trade kevin for a 3rd in 2010 or conditional second.

do you think this will happen ? or i am too off the base .

No it won't happen and I see no reason why we'd trade a QB we drafted in the 3rd round for another 3rd round pick.

I agree..right now he's looking at being the backup so...why trade him for a 3rd??? NO....I think a LOT depends on what the Pats see him being in 3-4 years and beyond. If he's the one who can step in behind Brady ..then no trade at all.. Guterrez?? Maybe...but KO...no way.

I did say conditional second . never say never if some team offers a 2nd rounder in 2010 you think BB will say NO?.Also brady ihas another 5 yrs so kevin will be 28-29 btw the time he starts and on his second contract. it makes no sense the patriots will sign him long term at year 4 for big money.

You argue can with the same logic that then trading cassel is the worst decision as brady can go down in training camp.

If the same logic accounts for tying up ~$30M at the QB position, then sure. The salary cap makes it virtually impossible to carry two high-paid QBs and stay competitive. The opportunity cost to keeping Cassel would have been absolutely massive, and you can't even begin to analyze the tradeoff of trading him without taking that into account.
