They feel misled and let down. First they were sure Cassel was useless and then they were informed he was potentially their generations Hershel Walker. If they could only grasp it wasn't Bill who set them up for a crashing disappointment. It was a gaggle of football pundits and mediots looking to fill space.

I'd have liked to have gotten A 1st for Cassel, but getting out from under his tag 48 hours into FA was worth a 2-3 slot discount... I had no idea Vrabel would go but if I had I wouldn't have expected compensation, more like veteran locker room backlash...so that part of the deal worked for me too. If Bill felt that step he'd lost wasn't going to return with a healthier shoulder, I can live without any more of his NFLPA whines in the run up to the uncapped season too... He gets the full final year of his deal and someone else pays for it. Win-win.

I was equally impressed with Chris's work...but that's only natural since he's a born and bred Patsfans.com original.

I am equally unimpressed with Curran's hit piece mainly because from the start he's using a COMPLETE FALSEHOOD as THE underpinning of his attack, to wit, that TWO FIRSTS were gotten for Matt Schaub...uh...W-R-O-N-G...that would be two SECOND ROUND PICKS...thank you for the GIGO exercise Tommy...

then there's this afternoon on EEI with "I AM the Mayor!!!!!" Butch Stearns....he's having HUGE problems with what the Patriots got in this deal...here's a 2nd rate talking radiohead, struggling to keep his mealy mouthed head above water, once again claiming HE speaks for all Patriot fans and blasting the organization for conducting THEIR business as they see fit. He may well represent the legion of scary little Marys that populate Patriot Fan Nation but as far as I'm concerned his opinions on the New England Patriot franchise are no more meaningful than a piece of used toilet paper.

Yes, it IS very good to see a Chris Price making his bones in this morass of idiocy, and with his skill and intelligence he should go far.I ,for one, certainly hope so.

Yah, Vrabes and the rest of the Union multi-millionaires whining that Kraft needs to share Patriots Place revenues...it's not their net worths that were mortgaged at risk to finance PP whose success or failure is in doubt.

I'm a big Vrabes football fan thankfull for his years of contributions and wish him well. Great family man too as I understand and respect if so. The player rep parroting NFPLA tripe I can do without.
