Default Pats sign Angelo Craig to practice squad

Quote:
The Patriots just officially announced the signing of OLB Rosevelt Colvin, and at the same time, filled the final spot on their practice squad with LB Angelo Craig.

The 23-year-old Craig (6-5, 242) was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the seventh round this year. He was cut at the end of training camp and was with the Carolina Panthers' practice squad for one day in September.

Craig played at the University of Cincinnati.

Heaven forbid we develop players that might help with depth in two years. Good thing you aren't the GM.

Honestly, it's hard to have the long view, but I think the personnel dept. has to think about next year. We have a lot of great possibilities at LB. If even ONE more of the guys turns up as a gamer or solid prospect, it helps the drafting of players we REALLY need in the secondary.

We currently seem to have a load of LB's on the roster (from the field team to IR) and that's not a bad problem to head into the off-season with.

We now have a double-level of developmental LB's and that's a very good thing, imo. The more we can spend on safeties and corners the better.
