I can't complain about this year considering all the injuries the Pats have had to deal with this year.
We lost the MVP of the league in our 1st game in the most position in football, we lost our best LB & our best player in the secondary. We still have a chance to finish 11-5 or more likely 10-6. After the 1st game I would have guessed we were looking at an 8-8 or 9-7 year so all things considered this year has been a pleasant suprise.
Mayo has been a beast all year & looks to be an anchor for years to come. GG has been a huge suprise this year coming in as an undrafted rookie & has been getting better all the time.
I'm still hopeful we will make the playoffs but if not we have a very bright future to look forward too. I think Brady will come back better than ever. We have tons of draft picks this year ( our #1 our #2 SD's #2, should be a high pick, & two #3 picks, we may also get another #2 at least if we tag & trade Cassel. )

Oh, I'm not giving up on the season - I will watch with the same passion these last 4 games, and I do think we have a good shot at winning them all. I just don't think it's likely that the Jets, Miami, Indy or Baltimore are all going to implode, and I think we need at least two of them to suffer two losses while we win all 4, which seems unlikely, given everyone's remaining schedules.
Did you watch the Colts-Browns game yesterday? The Colts look very beatable to me...but then, they did when the Pats played them and we all saw how that worked out.

They've looked beatable all year. They should be at or below .500 right now. (Thanks, Dave Thomas, Sage Rosenfels and Brad Childress!)
Oh and to actually answer your question I guess I'd like to see Tennessee and Tampa Bay in the SB, and I don't care who wins.
Oh god no, that would be almost unwatchable. If we don't make the playoffs I'll be rooting for a Falcons/Jets SB with a 49-0 Atlanta win ( Favre throws 6 picks to set a SB record )

Wait. If you listen to a lot of the media, yesterday showed the resilience of the Colts. It was spectacular effort for them that they played like crap all game and a lucky bounce on a fumble... um... a spectacular play by Mathis won the game. In today's Clark Judge "Judgements" column he predicts that Indy or Pittsburgh would represent the AFC even after the miserable performance against a Derek Anderson led Browns. Here is what Don Banks wrote about them last night:
Quote:
The Colts had to win with defense, and they did, getting the game's only touchdown on a 37-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown by defensive end Robert Mathis. Indy produced just 215 yards of offense, and Peyton Manning had a dismal day with two interceptions and a fumble lost. But no matter, the Colts' defense limited the Browns to just 193 yards and a pair of first-half Phil Dawson field goals.
The chorus is getting louder by the week: Indy, having survived its early season brush with mediocrity, is a very dangerous team as the regular season's final month arrives.
First off, I think the patriots will be in the playoffs...but with the idead of this thread I say.
I'll take manning vs manning in the superbowl over the jets any day..I hate the jets!
Id like an az vs ten superbowl, or something that is extremly boring so the nfl knows to find way to protect a qb's legs better, knowing that if brady goes down, ratings go down.

If we don't make it, or have an early exit, these playoffs will be dreadful. I initially felt acceptance of us maybe not contending for this year, but then I thought - Who would you be 'alright' with winning if it's not us?
Steelers - HELL no! Hate their fans and I have to deal with them even more since I'm in Western PA for at least the next 6 months.
Colts - NO!
Titans - Wouldn't mind them at all, but doubtful they will win.
Jets - HELLLLLLLLLLLL no!
Broncos - See Titans.
Giants - Painful memory from last year, this would move them ahead of us in the ring department. So no.
Cowboys - TO having a full offseason to gloat about a ring, Cowboys getting ring #6. NO!!!
