Default Mark LaVoir -- Your new swing tackle

After Light was tossed, I was wondering who was going to be at the LT spot. I figured the Pats would swing Kaczur over and put LaVoir at RT. I was surprised to see that wasn't the case. LaVoir was lining up at LT and was more than holding his own.

I think this kid definitely has a spot on the team next year and that Wesley Britt may be on his way out.

When he filled in for Kaczur earlier in the year I don't remember hearing his name much at all which is a good thing.

Yea, I was surprised they started Kaczur over him, but BB has a heart for his veteran players.

BB's rule is that the better player plays. Personally, I thought that Kaczur got outplayed earlier in the year. However, since his return, Kaczur has been very solid..

Substituting LaVoir for Light makes sense even if Kaczur is better, if the difference isn't that great. Only one position is hurt. Moving Kaczur and bringing in LaVoir hurts both positions.

Plus, LaVoir might be a better LT and Kaczur a better RT of the two. Different skill sets. Plus, LaVoir probably practices both positions while Kaczur practices at RT only.

Overall though, your point is well taken. He's a keeper. Don't have to cringe as much if Light gets hurt (or gets ejected trying to hurt someone else).
