Default We could have defeated Colts IF...

1-Thomas COSTED us a game when he hit another Colts player. What a stupid mistake!
2-I looked at Cassell's stat on NBC last night and realize that he is a 'short-range' throwing guy. He needs to improve his long range throw.

Cassel felt the noise caused Thomas' penalty.

it was gaffney, he's the reason you guys lost

colts should be a 1-7 team right now but teams keep letting them win games like this

Cassell throws a nice long ball. Did you even watch the game last night? The reason the Pats ran for 150 yards out of the draw play is because Indy had 5 guys looking after Moss and Gaffney.

Ifs...

1. If Belichick hadn't gone for 2 points, the score would have been 14-13 before Ghost's last field goal, and not 15-12.

2. If the refs' hadn't given a bad spot to the 9.5 Faulk run on 1st down, then BJGE would have definitely gotten the first down on the 2nd and 2.5 right before the Thomas penalty.

3. If Belichick had a challenge, he could have thrown it after the bad spot on the BJGE run.

Those are games within the game.

4. If the refs had called a penalty on one of the pick plays by the Colts, the Patriots might have won.

Do you all remember when Troy Brown was called for a ticky tack pick play against the Colts in the AFCCG afew years ago?

The Colts' pick was 10x worse.

Get over it. You lost. I remember last year when the Colts played you with no recievers you didn't complain about injuries. I thought that the Pats were the ultimate team? If a starter goes down you just keep your mouth shut and plug and chug right?

When the Pats were mauling Colts recievers in the playoffs back in 2003-2004 I don't remember complaints about calls (or non-calls) by Pats fans.

This board is full of a lot of woulda coulda shoulda stuff.

The Pats lost to the Colts stop making excuses.

we lost because we are too slow and inexperienced at CB. the Colts crossing patterns could not be stopped and our CB could not keep up with the Colt WR. Blaming Thomas for the loss is a little stupid. Yes, he put us out of FG range on that penalty, but who is to say we would have scored. one play does not lose a game imo, we just are too banged up with injuries to compete in some games.

I never expect much insight from Colts fans. You lived up to my expectations.

The thread is called, IF.

Try to comprehend what you're reading next time. As far as your whining and crying about 2003, I'm sure you already paid us back with that bogus AFC championship you won in 2007. It was handed to you on a platter by the refs.
