How so? Pats have won 2 out of their last 3 and are still in fitst place, technically.

The Bills are tanking, but the Pats are in a different situation. They're getting better, loss or not tonight.

Yes it will. Nobody is clinching this division week 14. I expect that that week 17 our game against Buffalo and Jets vs. Mia will matter.

Jets are in 1st place because head to head does not come into play untill all the div. games are completed, and the Jets have a better div record then the Bills and Pats.
Pats in 2nd, then bills 3rd and Miami one game back

Jets= 5-3 (2-1 div)

Pats= 5-3 (1-1) div)

Bills= 5-3 (0-2 div)

Miami= 4-4 (2-1 div)

Just want to keep things clear.

Makes sense right?

Edit: because I messed up.

Wrong. Head-to-head is first, division record second, so the JEST are not first.

If you don't believe me, see NFL Standings: Division.

The NFL nver does a good job with tiebreakers on their site. The way the rules work Jets are actually in 1st place today. Because the Bills and Pats have yet to play the 1st tiebreaker that would be used is divisional record and the Jets have the best of the 3. The way ties work in the NFL is that is 1 team is better than all the others they are tied with they win the tiebreaker outright rather than just knocking off the lowest team and then redoing the procedure(where the Jets would lose because of the head to head with NE).

Good, as long as Buff continues to turn the ball over.

Pats 24- Bills 14.
