Right, but people who don't hate the jets are going to vote for who they think is the best QB, and Cassel aint even close.

Who cares if he is getting creamed? He hasn't proved anything yet. Brett Favre is the best QB in the division now despite his gunslinging ways because he's a first ballot HOFer. Can you say the same for Cassel? The only QB you MIGHT have a gripe against is Trent Edwards being rated so highly. Anyways it's good to keep Cassel humble, because the truth is that he has a LONG way to go in terms of improvement.

Cassel isn't the best QB in the AFC East. Edwards is, assuming that Brady's out because he's hurt.

Well, neither is Favre. Edwards is the class of the division and then I would put Pennington as a distant second with Favre and Cassel pulling up the rear. Favre is too much of a liability to be near the top. He leads the league in INTs.

I totally agree. I put Favre and Cassel around the same point. Favre when on can do a heck of a lot more than Cassel, but Cassel won't make the costly mistakes Favre does.

P.S. Who cares about a fan poll anyway. People as a collective are stupid.

I'd actually rather have Cassel than Favre, assuming that we're talking about a playoff team. I'd much, much rather have Edwards than either one of them, and I could probably even be talked into Pennington, but I just don't see the value in a QB who turns it over as often as Favre does. You can win the SB with a QB who doesn't make mistakes (Brady in 2001, Dilfer and Brad Johnson come to mind just in the past few years), but you're not going to win it with someone who serves up interceptions.

Why do people care about polls anyways?

If anything, I'm happy people think Cassel is the worst QB in the division and I'm happy when I browse through prediction threads on other sites to see people picking the Pats to lose their game. History has shown flying under the radar is the way to go.

Yeah - the last thing we want is for this team to be disrespected. If there's one thing you can say about this team it's that they don't respond well to a lack of respect or negative comments.

Seriously, I might just go to the poll to vote for anyone but Cassell just to keep that disrespect card rolling. And let's hope they don't have any more major lapses this season but predictably, Harrison and others on the team predictably used a perceived lack of respect to bring the team together and play to their capabilities, if not overachieve given the injuries.

It's always funny to me that so many don't seem to understand this - that to the Patriots, Disrespect is what spinach is to Popeye!

So let's keep the disrespect going and maybe, just maybe, we'll be in a good position to make a good post season run!
