Thanks. This is a great board, hence my presence, despite my allegience to the Chargers. As for Tom, I have nothing but respect for him. He is the antithesis of Jay Cutler. He is respectful of his teamates (and his opponents) and humble about his success. He deserves respect from every fan of the NFL for what he has accomplished and the grace with which he has done it. Any player though, really, deserves our prayers when injured because our empathy for people (most NFL players ARE people) should transcend the allegience to a particular team. After all, NFL football IS, at the most basic level, just entertainment. It is not life or death, although sometimes it feels that way (believe me, I know, remember '06? LOL...hey, what do you know, I can finally laugh about it!).

Yup, I've seen a couple of QB's play that ouchy game depending on how the ensuing series play out... I had some empathy for him heading into this season because of his diagnosis, but I think at heart he remains a punky little brat who reads his clippings.

BTW Bill said today he and Dean watched him closely for a couple of series and decided not to buy into the ouchy blather...

I heard the Patriots rallying cry during pregame warmups was...

PAO...OUT GO THE LIGHTS!

I'm glad the Pats won because the Broncos have owned the Pats for quite some time.
