If Morris' injury is anything less than trivial, should we expect to see New England working out some extra RBs very quickly this week?

Green-Ellis ran hard, though one should always be careful in fighting too hard when already wrapped up by a couple guys... fumbles (and injuries) come to mind in situations like that. I'd like to see how he progresses with in-game experience. He showed some power and quickness, and I'd love to see if his vision can blossom with real reps.

That draft class is cursed. We havent won a SB since then.

I hate to say it but you may be right....Maroney has had some kind of injury every year he has been here.......and he has been erratic and overall slow...in development....I somehow would not be surprised if he was not on the roster next season...GO PATS!

If I remember correctly Jackson was an early 2nd rounder. Santonio Holmes was the only WR taken in the first round that year.

What we have is a guy who had one good game against a bad run D. A-La Kyle Eckel.

I know but the guy is cancer.

That's more important than the money.

Notice: Maroney is gone for the season, then we play our best game of the year.

Plus we could get an even cheaper RB than would produce just as much if not better. Actually, we already did. His name is Sammy Morris.

He can spell Morris and Jordan (when he gets back).

If we keep their carries to 15/game or less they both have a better chance of lasting the season. BGE can take enough carries for that to happen if he can keep running the way he did last night. Not expecting the world from him but he can still help this team alot.

BJGE ran well. Hit the hole hard, and didn't dance, (unlike the injury machine know as SloMo). Oops. SloMo just tore a quad while taking a dump.

Ole Miss standout BenJarvus Green-Ellis OK with whatever happens : NFL : Memphis Commercial Appeal

One scout says something like: "I tihnk Benjarvus is a 7th round pick, and even that is way too late for him to be drafted"

Based on gut feeling, I think he will turn into a more productive NFL player than Maroney.

What I liked seeing was once he made contact, whether it was one or three players the pile kept moving downfield. Kind of like what some runners have done against us. Still too early to say whether he will have great success, but let's see what he does.
