Default Things could be worse - You could be a Lions, Bengals or Raiders fan

Just thinking about this, this morning - I pretty much wrote off the season ending in a championship the minute Brady went on IR but figured we might have an outside shot at a wildcard if things worked out in a best case scenerio.

Last nights beating did not change that yet

While I can say its pretty realistic that this team will obviously be nowhere near the AFC Championship game I cannot say this team has no shot at getting a #6 wild card shot right now.

Remember...You could be a LIONS fan,BENGALS fan or a RAIDERS fan right now

Would you want to be a fan of a team that can't win with or without thier lousy GM who just got fired like Millen?

Would you want to be a fan of a team that has a player like Ocho Cinco that wants out of Cincy yet is the supposed best player on the team?

Would you want to be a fan of a team that is run by a 70 year old out of his mind owner that fires his HC every season?

Do you think the fans of those teams would give thier lungs to trade places with us at 3-2 right now?

I think so.....

All very true. To me, your first sentence was key, you changed your expectations. so did I, therefore I can enjoy the game but also not kill myself over a loss

We are New England Patriots. It's sad to see how our team is. Everything is upside down in less than 1 year.

There's way more teams you can add to that list.

And here's a list for everyone to keep in mind - Teams with 2+ losses include:
Dallas Cowboys
Indianapolis Colts
San Diego Chargers
Jacksonville Jaguars
Green Bay Packers

Plus many more

And if San Diego takes care of Buffalo we go into Monday Night with a chance to be tied for the division lead.

Actually, the Lions looked great during the preseason and if you count preseason records, the Lions are 4-5 and the Pats are 3-6. So there is much to cheer about in Detroit.

I normally wouldn't look at it that way, but I've learned in the past few months just how important preseason wins are to Pats fans.
