Give peace, er, Cassel a chance.

He's in his first season since high school. His instincts, pocket presence and vision aren't that good but he is IMPROVING. Shoulder to the WHEEL.

Give the guy a break.

I disagree that he's improving. He showed big improvement last week against San Fran, but he's taken AS big of a step back today. It's not a coincidence that San Fran is a lousy team and San Diego isn't. I'm not saying he should be replaced, but he just isn't getting it done.

Cassel wasn't that good, but he was moving the ball pretty well at times when we were in the game. Playcalling, poor OL play, and the defensive implosion due to those 2 is just as much to blame tonight.

I've been a fan of Cassel and refuse to give up on him just because of a bad game. It's not even all his fault.

It's his first year since HIGH school. Would you be tthat good? It's going to take him a bit to pick up on things. Give him a chance.

Bottom line is this: Cassel played the worst ranked pass D in the league (after tonight they won't be ranked there) and put up 3 points. He had plenty of chances with wide open guys, but continually took short routes or pulled it down and tried to run. He can't read defenses quick enough and has terrible pocket presence.
