Since we all know the media loves to hate the Pats, I agree that they want to cover all their angles so they don't have to report anything positive about the Pats in 2008.

The 2007 evil patriots were a cash cow.

As Peter King waddles through the streets of Manhattan today, I hope a pigeon $hi#s on his head.

Peter King has probably changed his opinion at least 3 times since he wrote that.

How anything that happens can harm Brady's legacy is beyond me.

I don't think anyone is DUMB on this subject.
We are all passionate about Tom and his legacy, which is why King gets to us.

King is just a pain in the ass.
Last year he wouldn't drop questioning BB. He just likes to hear himself talk ,or write? It's his way of making himself feel "smart".

Brady's legacy will always be there. Having him in the team will make everybody think twice about playing with us.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. I am presently surprised by Cassel's performance thus far, but let's keep it in perspective. He beat the Chiefs and the Jets - not exactly the cream of the NFL crop.

He should be able to engineer a win over the Dolphins but they had his number last year and that has got to be rattling around in the back of his mind. Furthermore, I believe that his performance has been aided by a lack of film. It is harder to prep for an unknown QB that it is for one for whom there is a plethora of film.

Personally, I have felt that he was retained because he is incredibly intelligent. I suspect still that he lacks the talent to be an NFL QB; admittedly that remains to be seen. If he continues to perform at a reasonable (not a Bradyesque - no QB has matched his talent or potential thus far) level, I will most certainly amend my opinion.

Tarnishing Brady's Legacy? Only Brady could do that and I can't imagine that ever taking place. I'm just content for the Patriots to fly under the radar, in the middle of the pack for season. January and February are the months to shine.

The media always has negative spins on Pats. Pats would loose without Tom and pats would make it without Tom but his legacy is gone. WTF.

It doesn't matter what we do, we are screwed.

Second week of Nov is the most important week because we will know if we are 16-0 team again in this season.
