If ever there was a season to actually live "Week by Week" This is that season.

The defense lived on the merits of ancient players Bruschi and Harrison and died on secondary lacking any playmakers and a defense lacking a pass rushing threat.

The key all season will be how long until the defense can get it's legs because the offense is not going to give us 30 plus points a night.

Mangini is probably sitting in his office salivating at the chance to get a crack at our defense this early in the season. The secondary is raw meat and Favre is a grillmaster.

Mangini is more likely salivating at the prospect of sucking down the loaded pizza and Italian pastries spread out on the table in front of him. Favre is likely looking to add to the record number of career interceptions thrown also bearing his name. After the most recent outings against the Patriots, the only raw meat on the menu is the hamburger the defense reduces him to from repeated beatings.
