The fancy fans -- The red seat and lower-blue folks once again showed their colors. Some of these sections were only one-third filled as the Pats were trying to stave off the Chiefs on the final drive. Gillette = worst home-field advantage in the league.
Good posting. Nice, balanced piece by Felger. Tough to disagree with any of it. And he is spot on that if Cassel plays like that all year, expect the Pats to make a deep playoff push.
Wow the douchebag actually had some good thoughts.
I completely agree with his take on blows below the knees. I hated it when it happened to Brady in the 2001 AFCCG, I hated it when it happened to Carson Palmer and I really hated it this past Sunday. He was talking about this on air on WEEI today and he said that if a player is on his ass he should have to get up to make a hit on the QB rather than diving at their knees. Knees are probably the weakest area of the body. Why should QB's be put in danger because players like Pollard get knocked on their asses and decide that diving at the people's knees is ok. It is stupid and reckless.

As much as a lot of people don't like him, he usually writes some really good columns.
Sarah, is that you?

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

He's in rehab, it's an up and down process, but he did 4 hours of therapy today with a real good sports writer who didn't sell out for ratings and every little bit helps.
