Can the AFC representative say they truly faced the most challenging road and the NFC team say they faced the AFC's best? While Houston Rocket fans probably don't care that they didn't play Jordan in the finals, everyone knows the Bulls would have been there to represent the East and smoke the Rockets in the finals. And everyone knows a truly healthy Tiger would have won 2 or 3 more tournaments this year. To me this is an off-year, almost like if Joe Montana was out for an entire season in the late 80s.

Yes. The winner of this year's Super Bowl will be the best team. Injuries happen to every team, and we will not be the first team to lose a key guy, even if he was the best player in the league.
