On WEEI when asked if BB would activate K. Faulk and use Brady's spot for his roster spot, BB said he has a one day exemption for Faulk and that Brady has not been placed on the IR.
I am not saying he won't be - but BB did not add he was going too......
I am just saying.

Yeah, i heard that on the ride home. However, the rest of the conversation revolved around Cassel and his grasp of the offense, etc. etc. I'll bet dollars to donuts that TB is on IR by tomorrow
I still think we win 10+ games without him, just alot closer, like the 2001-2006 seasons...

STATEMENT FROM THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS ON TOM BRADY
"After extensive tests this morning, it was revealed that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's left knee, which was injured in the first quarter of yesterday's game, will require surgery. He will be placed on injured reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2008 season."
I heard it also...it wasn't that I didn't believe Brady was going on IR. It was funny the way that BB said Brady hadn't been placed on IR. Why would he say that? Just typicall BB.

Because it was not done...the move not officially completed...
" Hmm. I'm starting to think this whole "injured Tom Brady" thing is all just another one of Bill Bellichek’s nefarious schemes.
Brady never blew out his knee. Bellichek is just trying to make other teams take the Patriots lightly. I swear, that guy’ll do anything to gain even the slightest advantage in gameplanning.
Watch, the Pats will introduce their new QB this week against the Jets. It’ll be a guy named “Brom Tradey,” and he’ll look just like Tom Brady, only with a big, thick mustache that looks sort of scotch-taped on."
Bring on Brom Tradey

As I noted in other threads, note the wording. No specific time was given for the move.

when we place Brady on the IR, does that free up his cap number for this season.
If it does, are we allowed to say, sign Wilfork to an extension, give him a big Signing Bonus, and place all of that Bonus this year. Obviously, this will be tremendous for years to come because the cap hit will already have taken place, giving us more room to pick up guys. it could be a very nice, unintended result of bradys injury
