Default The Patriots can still win the superbowl!

I do not post a lot on here, but after what I have read here in the last 2 days I have to chime in. I am tired. I cannot believe some of the things I have heard and read since the end of the game yesterday. Is Tom Brady one of the greatest players of all time, yes, but guess what, this is not the New England Tom Brady's. There are players like Rodney Harrison, Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel that will get this team ready to play and win games. This is one team where they truely set up to be able to handle an injury like this. Top to bottom, 1 to 53, these guys are the best coached, the most prepared players in the NFL.

Things are going to change. The defense is going to once again have to be the catalyst to winning some tight games. The prolific offense is gone, but you have to think a guys like randy moss and wes welker are going to step up and help cassel manage the game.

Yesterday was tough, both for us fans, but imagine being a player. Just like Moss said, he was looking back at that door the entire game, and I would bet every other player was doing the same. The wind was taken out of the sails for the rest of that game, but you saw a team rally to do enough to win that game. They will have a week to get their heads on straight and get behind Cassel. Will the patriots lose some games this year, sure, but this team can and will rally to now beat expectations that will be put on them after the loss of Brady.

We have a chance as fans to see something special. Not what we were expecting, but something more incredible than we as fans could have imagined.

To those of you who say we should hang it up or play o'connel to get a top 10 pick or are not going to watch the games and have lost interest, please leave and never come back. It is unfair to the rest of the players on this team to have fans like you. I hope you enjoyed the fun ride, but its time for you to get off and let us, the real fans who know the last 7 years was a dream come true, do what we do best and that is cheer on this team until the final snap of the season, which I think still could be in the superbowl.

I like this thread. The goal hasn't changed, only the things we need to do to get there.

Fo' sure. Remember Jeff whats-his-face leading the Giants to their 2nd Super Bowl win? And how about Earl whoziwhatsee leading the old Baltimore Colts to their Super Bowl win?

Very wonderfully stated.

Bring on the real fans!

When fans admit this and stop bashing players and coaches for any other reason, the world of sports will be infinitely improved.

Are you high?

Never in the history of the NFL has a 6th or 7th round backup QB ever been able to step in for a Pro-bowl QB after an injury and lead the team to the SB!

Never, not once!

Or am I wrong?

Superbowl is months away. I want to see a win in New Jersey next week, a big win. Our D needs to remind Favre why he should have stayed on his farm.

People throwing in the towel on the season is an insult to the other 52 players on this team, the coaches and the owner.

Granted Brady is the best QB in football, but the weapons are still there, it is up to the coaches to figure out how to best use them and rework the game plan to suit Cassel.

The reaction around the rest of the league, especially by some of the fans, was pathetic.

I hope the remaining teams on the schedule are as ****y as their fans are.

Time to circle the wagons and come together as a team; it's time for "Us against the world part II" (spygate was part I).

Regarding Jets fans dancing in the streets; I am sure they were all thrilled to see Favre heave up that prayer on 4th down and see it fall into a Jet players hands; remember how that felt when later on this year he does the same thing time and time again only with a different result.

You live by the sword, you die by it, the "gunslinger" that he is.
