Default First and foremost, are you a Brady fan or a Patriots fan?

I have nothing against Brady fans. He is an amazing quarterback. I am a Favre fan, and rooted for the Packers simply because I liked him. So, nothing against people that root for a team because they were attracted to one player.

I am a Patriots fan, though. I have cheered through the darkest years, and will continue to cheer them through this one, no matter how light or dark it is.

The difference is that Brady calmly calls audibles while Manning flaps like a chicken, barks 11 code words, and makes sure every camera in the stadium has documented his once-in-a-generation (and patented, I believe) ability to see a defensive formation and change the play. Both have the same effect, but Manning transcends measurable human intellect while Brady merely chooses a different play.

If you were a Farvre fan who rooted for the Packers simply because you liked him, how could you have also been a Pats fan who cheered through the darkest years (or do you consider those 2005-present...)?

I'm a fan of both the Patriots and Tom Brady and Matt Cassel and every other player who wears the uiform. I cheer for the laundry as well as the guys who wear it... I've never understood you either or fans...

Pats fan first (grew up in this area), but also a huge Brady fan. I was - and am - a huge Bledsoe fan, and it didn't take too long for me to embrace Brady b/c the team does come first.

But that doesn't mean I'm not extremely bummed about the prospect of having to wait another ~360 days to see Tom Brady throw another pass in an NFL game. My thoughts are summed up here:

Take a sec to think about this beyond the impact on the Ws & Ls

Grogan Eason and the rest.. Look we lost Rodney , Tedy , Matt Light, in 05 and we survived.. Brady was the key, we are all Patriots fans, its just our expectations have to be tempered a bit..

Michigan fan first and thus, Brady. Became a Pats fan after that. I know I'm in the minority but that's how I "arrived"

Definitely a Patriots fan. I like Brady and all, but if was on another team I would not root for him, just like I don't root for Adam V.

The only player I am a fan of in the NFL is Chad Ocho Cinco. I don't care what team he plays for I will always root for him unless he is playing against the Pats.

Patriots fan, but Brady has become so intertwined with that for me in the last several years.

It hurts. I named my son after him, for cripes sake.

It just hurts.

Patriot's fan first and foremost.....look at my name!!!

Love football, not for the stars, although some are better than others, but because it is the ultimate TEAM sport.

Never forgot the beginning of SB 36, when the Patriots were introduced
AS A TEAM , no other team had done that up to that point. The networks didn't know what to do, the stadium announcer didn't know what to do......
This year the league won't know what to do......

Look out NFL, the Patriot's just got a huge chip on their collective shoulders......

A sarcastic Bill Belichick on Tom Brady's finger injury, "It's not life threatening."

At least, you are honest. The question is "Will you remain a Patriot fan after Brady or will you follow another Michigan player?
