Gootz; even though Brady doesn't look in any way injured whenever he's seen on/off the field. They also keep 5 backs on the roster, which most view as a bit unusual, seemingly setting up for a more ground based attack this season. The only thing anyone talks about all pre-season is the backup QB position...more backup QB talk than anytime in history it seems.
then we have the first game of the season and Brady is gone, most likely for the season, before the second qtr even starts.....just feels fishy for some reason

1) The Pats could have been playing Cassel more this pre-season because they were auditioning him for other teams in hopes of trading him.
2) The Patriots don't have 5 backs on the roster YET. Faulk is suspended currently so he doesn't count. The number of backs and the running game won't mean squat if McDaniels continues to telegraph the plays they way he did in the 2nd half.
3) There was more "back-up QB talk" in 2000 and in 2001 than there has been this year. Most people were calling for Michael Bishop at the time though.
