"More than half of the NFL's fanbases".....very official--did do you do a poll of all fanbases? A lot on here were not celebrating Merriman's injury either. Very unclassy post by this poster but I will NOT imply that you represent all Jets fans.

sorry, extremely poor wording on my part. I was not happy but I realized the opportunity presented by a Brady less pats in 08.

I absolutely wouldn't cheer an injury for anyone in the NFL, I'd rather see my team beat their team straight up.

However, it's a simple fact that people on here would be happy if someone like Manning went down...that isn't condemning the site as a whole and my guess is 90% of fans wouldn't want to see someone hurt, but it would happen, no doubt in my mind. To the extent that Jets fans cheer about it? Eh, hard to say...I'd probably say no but that might be my bias showing, but when the internet is involved and there is no worry of reprecussions (i.e. a broken face) people show their true colors and, quite frankly, many people are heartless and nasty.

Whatever, I'll take our 52 (excluding Brady) over any other teams' 52 (excluding their QB). We'll have to see if Belichick's confidence in Cassel the past few years was misguided or not.

Sorry, but I have never took any pleasure in another team's player getting seriously injured. Never. Never will.

Anyone who is happy that their team is more likely to win their division because the team that was more likely than not going to win it having a major, season ending injury is just ignorant. Hoping it ends a player career is just sick.

Read some message boards and its quite apparent. Rams, packers, Raiders, fins, bills, vikings all had the same vibe.

I don't want to beat the Colts without Manning in the lineup. It would not mean anything. To be the best you have to beat the best. Get it.

I can’t believe any of you would be surprised. These are the same fans who cheered when their own quarterback went down last year.

Celebrate as you wish....Karma will continue to bite all jests fans in the ass. Maybe now you know why your team sucks so bad.

We'll be fine....

As a Jet fan you should understand karma. Your team will never win anything, Jets fans don't deserve it.
