Default Does anyone read sports on WEEI.COM?

I am sure most of you know that WEEI now has sports writers on their website.

Is anyone reading their sports on WEEI.COM ?

I have been their a couple of times and I have yet to be impressed.

They have some decent writers.... Rob Bradford, Felger & Borges...ect...

I have a feeling it is not going to last.....

What do you think?????

Bradford ok, but the fact that you say felger and bogus are decent writers means I probably shouldn't take anything you say seriously

Seeing a Ron Borges link made me sick just looking at the page. They should have put a Hack link and maybe I would have clicked it.

As a person who works in the world of media, I can tell you that Entercom has poured millions into WEEI.COM, and the website is doing big numbers.

Your feeling is off-base.

I gotta say... the DOT COM promo show started off with quite the whimper this morning.

That said... It was still better than Yankee Talk.

True... But, the massive resources they have poured into promoting WEEI.COM has increased their traffic by a large number. In the end traffic is the name of the game. Traffic = higher prices for banner ads, and streaming radio commercials. I think they have done a good job.

I would tend to agree. They went over two years before they started streaming again, and once they did people came back in droves since most people don't spend all day in their cars, and getting AM reception at home is almost impossible. Thier radio promotion of the clubhouse insider promotions has obviously driven their site membership #'s way up, and from what I can see it's been extremely successful. Their site has also improved by leaps and bounds from where they were a few years ago, and I find the idea of what they're doing with the ".com" radio show intriguing. It will be interesting to see how it goes. - Ian

I never read anything by Borges, as he is a complete idiot, and as far as Felger goes he has turned into the resident contrarian, plays the rating game too much.

Their page is much better than it used to be. I personally go there and download the interviews and drop them into my ipod. I wish they would either put whole shows online (which i am sure is expensive) or go on Sirius for us who are out of town. Of course that's just what I want, I don't know if it's financially responsible for them.
