I know....thats why if a writer predicted that Manning might miss some time this season, I wouldent call him nuts. Calling this guy crazy for predicting Brady could miss 1 - 3 games (considering his foot injury) is crazy.

Don Banks is pulling that out of his a%$-come on! E#very QB has a chance of getting whacked. Tom's in good shape and will be healthy throughout the year to make it through the playoffs to win the SB in a hurry up offense we've never seen that will rack 50+ pts and make the Giants or Cowboys or whoever-blow chunks.

I bet Don Banks also thinks that Shawn Merriman has a %50 chamce of blowing out his knee-what a stupid prediction

I predict that Don Banks will catch the flu this winter. Just a hunch.

The giants didn't "SEND THE HOUSE"!!!!, and certainly not on a regular basis....would this even work in college???....the Giants usually just overpowered our guys one on one straight up....or had them so fooled with the stunts that they only needed to bring one LB straight up the middle.

Obviously you can't just sit back in coverage all day....you have to mix in your pressures to keep him guessing, but go ahead and "send the house" and see what happens....he's obviously WAY too good at reading and adjusting to pressures and has Wes to gash you short and, if the pressure misses because they're expecting it and it gets blocked, randy is there to KILL you deep....if you're a DC you're holding your heart in your hand every time you blitz this offense....and Don expects them to do it on like every down or something??

And this year they add a hammering back to rip into your gut up the middle on a pass blitz....let's see all these speedy pass oriented secondaries deal with the likes of lamont jordan and david thomas this year, and a more productive 3rd receiver....but with 12 at the controls, you can't simply "send the house."

That's not what new york did when they knocked him down 21 times, and that's why the O-line looked so great up until that game last year.

Don deserves to be called out on this one....predicting he'll miss games?? Miss Cleo will be writing next. Go back and check out the o-line in 01-02 and 05....and that was BEFORE teams were forced to worry about being beat deep.

It's shocking how ignorant football writers are....you don't see this as much in other sports, but for some reason NFL writers win the prize. Jaws gets hailed as some expert. Steve Young was calling the O-line the best he'd ever seen last year....where is he now???

The lack of pressure on Tom for most of last year was a function of teams being afraid to load up against this passing attack, not because everyone deserved to go to the pro bowl...yeah, he had a lot of time back there for the most part...you blitz bad QBs....or those who have very little help on offense.....if you want a "recipe for disaster" just follow the so called "blueprint" that Banks, Easterbrook, and just about everyone on ESPN believes in.

It's a copy cat league, you say? Then go out and grab a great front seven like the Giants and freaking copy them, or pray for 50 mph winds like the Ravens game, or cold rainy days like the last few home games....barring injuries that's about the only hope anyone has of containing what might easily end up being the greatest offense in history this year.

I'll just say it now -- get yer popcorn ready. Not expecting them to be too sharp in a classic trap game this sunday, but you have to be insane predicting a down year for NE. They lost a corner, picked up a middle LB, but they also essentially trimmed and slimmed down along the line....they know they're going to be playing with the lead and BB is clearly going to attack more on defense this year to compliment this unprecedented offensive juggernaut. Two things we really needed at the end of last season was a faster more aggressive pass rush and a true inside running game....they look to have addressed that. And keep in mind please that they still essentially won 19 games last year even with such "deficiencies."

Now, if they suffer a slew of injuries then, sure, all bets are off....but how are these people coming up with losing streaks and 6-7 losses, and losing the division AND the wildcards????
