Don't even waste your time with that.

Random WEEI listeners are sources for PFT now and karma is the prime determinant of future success (or failure).

Pro Football Talk: the National Enquirer of the National Football League.

I agree with all the posters..which is why I prefaced what I said with "bot wanting to add fuel to the fire"...with the source and what they said..Just tossing it out there..I think the media loves all of this and Florio is one of the worst. And what is funny is that since I turned on EE! with the two clowns, it's been all Sox...

The bottom line is a broken foot would have landed him on PUP and the team would have put all their energy into readying Cassel for the regular season. He would have come back after six weeks of healing and a roster spot would have been made available for another player (extra TE or extra DB would have been my guess.) Why does anyone still listen to gossipy garbage like PFT?

What do you expect from them...they say they are a RUMOR MILL of ther NFL, so wouldn't you expect to see these kind of reports from them.

Take PFT for what it's worth, a decent source for information, sometimes dead on, sometimes way off. They usually identify their sources and you can tell from there how off the wall or factual any particular rumor actually is.

In this case, nobody that is really in the know is talking.

However, if you just listen to Brady, he said he plans on playing, but it is not up to him, it's up to the doctors and BB listens to them. If he is out there Sunday, I doubt it is a broken bone in a foot though.

That's on Friday. Today and tomorrow is a practice participation report. The probable/questionable stuff is Friday.

Whether it's a small fracture or a deep bone bruise could be not a big difference. But count me in the crowd who sort of wants Brady to sit out a couple of weeks and let whatever it is heal properly. If he plays every week it won't get fully better until next offseason IMO, and it'd be nice to have a fully healthy, well rested Brady going into he postseason.

This must be driving Vegas nuts in terms of their over-under for wins by the Pats this year. It was 12.5 last week. I'd bet the house on the under if I knew he had a broken foot, "team concept" or not. In the end, money mot the truest form of objectivity.

Brady couldn't go to the PUP since he didn't start camp on the PUP and he injured his foot after camp broke. I don't think Brady would have been practicing a week after breaking his foot though. Brady was on the field the following week after getting injured.

As for the Florio piece, he was really quick to jump the gun on a completely unsubstantiated story. Funny since he must have contacts at WEEI to confirm this story.

"The bottom line is" a broken foot sustained during training camp would not, by definition, have landed him on PUP.

Reality check: every rumor so far has been essentially in agreement. Some time in camp Brady suffered either a nasty bone bruise or slight fracture in his foot. He's still healing, but will probably play week 1. If anybody finds a shred of information that contradicts this reading, I'm all ears!
