How about the fact that he walked off before the game was over that was pretty dumb.
Perhaps if you weren't crying so damn hard, you would have noticed he did seek out Coughlin before he left, only to be called back when the ahole officials (that refused to call HOLDING) couldn't get the clock right.
Be careful, you could be banned from Tampa in Feb., at least going there in style.

LOVE New England sports....10 years SEVEN championships!!!
For sure. That drawn up "through the fingers interception" play to Asante was really called at an inopportune time.
He probably should have also not went with the "poor execution by the O-line" game plan the whole team either. Hindsight says he should have abandoned it completely in the second half, or used it sparingly at the least.

SAFETY COURSE: Sources said the Jets remain interested in free-agent S John Lynch, who was released Sunday by the Patriots. Many assume Lynch has an agreement with the Patriots to re-sign after Week 1 - that way, his 2008 salary wouldn't be guaranteed - but the Jets are trying to intercept the nine-time Pro Bowler. This is the latest scrap between the two rivals.
Surprisingly, Eric Mangini, usually tight-lipped when asked about available players, actually confirmed the team's interest. (A message to Bill Belichick, perhaps?) Mangini said Lynch is on a short list, adding, "It's not a list of one. It's a group of players."
Scouts say Lynch, who turns 37 in three weeks, has slowed down considerably. But the Jets apparently have a role in mind for him. They went after him hard in early August, when he was released by the Broncos.
Based on those quotes at least from both Lynch and BB after JL was cut the other day, you would think there is a handshake agreement in place for him to come back in a few weeks, or next week. But the Jets made a big push (and supposedly offered more money) the first time and they're going to try again.

Reiss reported this Sunday night. It's been discussed in other threads. Where this belongs. They cut him knowing the risks. He knows the role here, appreciates there is continuing interest down the road, but he's likely holding out for a larger role and out of the gate. If he takes a similar role in NJ...because they offer him more coin and guarantee it, then I guess he didn't belong here.

Ditto for Ty Law and those numerous threads.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
I think if Lynch knows for sure that he will come back to the Pats in a week or two, no way will he sign with the Jets. He already had the chance to play for the Jets for more money and passed. Now the Jets probably don't have the cap flexibility that they had a few weeks ago to give him a better deal.
