Belichick made Samuel the player he is today?

If this is true then were all screwed. Samuel sucks axx. He never lived up to his contract in Philly and is inconsistent at best.

Never living up to his contract and inconsistent at best? Sounds just like a cb Bb has made these past few years

Other than talib I would take Samuel over any one of our cbs

And yet Samuel was still better in Philly every year then any Patriots CB other than McCourty's rookie year.

Reading is fundamental.

Point is, you can make the argument about pretty much any player who wasn't on the Patriots before 2004. And it's a really stupid one to make, devoid of context.

Are we glossing over a certain potential Super Bowl winning INT that he let go through his hands? Just checking.

Patriots won 3 SBs with top notch DBs and mediocre WRs and TE .
Patriots have won 0 SBs with top notch WRs and TEs but mediocre at best DBs............hmmmmmmmmm
PS.....Lloyd does not fall under my top notch heading. He is in the "trip over his shadow" category

Deion Branch...Super Bowl MVP...."mediocre!!!!!!!!"...

your tagline....

"In the end, Belichick juiced Moss like an orange, and once all the good pulp was squeezed, he tossed Moss aside. "

still butthurt about Moss being let go? Is that why you post screed after screed day after day mocking the Patriots and their head coach?...or is it something else?...perhaps we should do what you want and sign Revis and Landry...that way we'll have the bestest ,westest gweatest defensive backfield in history ...and go 6-10...OG OG OG!!!!!...go back to Gangrene and brag how you have everyone hoodwinked here.

You do realize the league was a different place back then, right? And it'd be one thing if we'd wallowed in mediocrity since but we've been to the show twice since then. If anything, all this does is illustrate how difficult it is to win SBs consistently due to the vagaries of the game.

And none of this is really germane to what I was responding to.

Bingo. In the old/real NFL, average corners used to rely on disrupting the timing of routes. Now, because cornerbacks are allowed no physicality nowadays, you need a premium skillset just to be competitive in coverage.

Whoa!
When did they outlaw contact within 5 yards of scrimmage? Seattle's big corners will hate this. All the more reason to sign Welker now that CBs can't try to knock him off the LOS.

This is known as "bad luck." RAH
