Default Talk about your SB viewing crowd

Assuming you're like most folks on this board and will be rooting either against the Ravens or for the Niners or both, are you willing to watch the game with Ravens fans?

Do you like the mixed crowd experience?

I think most people aren't that particular about this and will go with the flow. Some enjoy having fans of the other team in the room and the natural back and forth that develops.

Me, I'm a little nutty. Ever since I watched the Red Sox-Mets Game 6 in 1986 with a mixed crowd...and Mets fans went nuts at my house at the end of the game...well, I just don't like watching games with "enemy" fans.

So at Casa Darryl Stingley, Ravens fans are not invited. Niners only.

What say you?

My usual crowd is very apathetic regarding this year's game. I may go to a friend's place for a change. But to answer your question, if the Pats were playing, no opposing fans. It ends up ugly for someone. With a game like this, i doubt very much I'll have any die hard fans one way or the other.

I'll be rooting pretty hard against the Ravens but wont feel anything for the Niners if they win.

I don't know if that makes me a die hard. I do know that I can't be around Ravens fans.

Coincidentally am flying to NOLA this afternoon, and have to change planes in Baltimore.. apparently to load on a whole bunch of Ravens Fans...

Will have to suck this up, as will probably sharing space with them. As long as they do not get into a diatribe about how great Ray Lewis is, that would give me air sickness...

Thank god for my ipod..

I am not watching the Superbowl this year, who f..ing cares.

You'd have to be out'f your mind to watch this one with Ravens Fans.

...or sadistic...and possibly masochistic.

There'd always be the chance ~ whether Baltimore wins its 3rd or not ~ that they drop the word "SpyGate" at some point in the Evening.

And if that happens, somebody's face is getting transformed from convex...to concave.

Cant always work out like this but I am pretty good at working it so it does. But I pretty much only like to watch my sports with a select few of die hards that are all home town Boston fans. Occasionally a few non-diehards but still Boston fans will get into the mix and very rarely have I or will I watch with the enemy. Of all the diehard fans I usually watch with only one is not from the area but he has lived here for awhile and adopted our teams except that the Cowboys will always be his number one team (he grew up just outside Irving).

We went to the Cowboys game in Dallas together in 07 and he took the loss well but it took some fun out of it for me because I had to temper my enthusiasm after the game as I didnt want to rub it in. I just kept saying to him that we would see them again in Febuary too bad it didnt work out like that because we would have killed them and all would be right.

We are headed to a huge party here in Denver. Mostly Donks fans. I'm sure there will be annoying Niners and Ravens fans there too. We are going to drink and eat and watch the game in that order of priority. It will be interesting to see if the crowd is cheering one way or the other.

I won't be watching the Super Bowl this year. Nothing about this game interests me, with the possible exception of hearing about who won and lost on the news later that evening.
