Default Unlike the Ravens and 49ers

Our N.E. Patriots is one of the SLOWEST Teams on Offense...Gronk adds a dimension to our Offense very unfortunate for him with injuries the last two years. Back to the thread Title we are Great inside the numbers but average at best outside them. We need a outside WR that can compliment our Excellent inside the numbers game. Lloyd is average at best we are poor outside the numbers and the Ravens Exploited that yesterday. Look at what Cabtree and Moss do for the 49ers look at what Torrey Smith do for the Ravens. We need Speed outside the numbers or we will always be left wanting on Offense against Good/Great Defenses. We need one of these three players if available.

Mike Wallace = Have the Great Speed this Offense lacks.

Greg Jennings = Excellent route runner with deep speed.

Dwayne Bowe = Better than most Patsfans think.

Let's not forget, though:

Mike Wallace = World Class diva.

Greg Jennings = Is all about the $$$.

Dwayne Bowe = Maybe.

Somebody like Wallace could be nice. I want a legit deep threat that actually requires attention from the safeties.

Lloyd at best provides some intermediate threat but his game is too inconsistent. The D isn't worried about his ability to take it deep.

It's uncanny how we're talking about the same issues from 2010.

Mike Wallace - No thanks. He has speed and that's it and we saw Brady fall in love with the deep ball when we got moss and he went away from what has made him successful.

Greg Jennings - I am interested. Besides being a deep threat he understands timing routes and it good at adjusting which is perfect for the Pats.

Dwayne Bowe - I have not seen him play in a complex offense to be confident that he would understand the uncalled audible routes and make route adjustments on the same page with brady (ala Chad Johnson). He is a hell of an athlete and big but just not sure he is good for our offense.

Someone I would love to get in the draft is Tavon Austin. He is extremely explosive and could work in our offense. He would need the time to learn routes and adjustments but that speed could contribute right away and with the no huddle they can run and pass with him in there.

All of that could be said about Moss before he joined us.

You give a guy a contract, you put him in a winning situation and you'll see a lot of problems magically disappear with these types.

Preach brother preach...wish we had brought in better talent last year...they were available. If we had signed Vincent Jackson we would be in the Super Bowl. Good/Great WR's comes at a cost and BB should know that you can't make chicken salad out of chicken $h!t thats been our WR's on the outside since Moss.

Greg Jennings? Doesn't he already have a SB ring?

ct: Jennings in reality might be the cheapest of the bunch and probably could transition quicker than the other two. Jennings and a rookie could be good alternatives. WR's can still put up elite numbers at 30.

Yeah, but Jennings is always hurt. What good is for us if he's on the bench.

We have an aged QB and a geriatric WR corps and a plethora of young and talented RB's. Maybe it's time we forget about building the leagues best passing attack and focus on building a championship rushing attack? Lord knows all of our record setting passing attacks have yet to yield us a SB title.
