Default Could be a bad day for Flacco

Lots of hype around Mr. Flacco recently based on his playoff performances of late. He seems to have done awfully well against us in the last few matchups as well, but I have a feeling it's going to turn around tomorrow, here's why:

1.) No secret that the Ravens make a lot of scratch on the deep ball. We're expecting 20+ mph winds tomorrow. It's hard to imagine the Ravens attempting many deep throws if the wind is consistently blowing that hard. The balloon he threw to Smith last week would have been in the stands.

Also, he completed 3 balls over 30 in our first game. We've only allowed 2 over 30 in our last 8 games. We're playing the deep ball far better than in the first matchup.

2.) Our secondary is world's better than any time we've played them in the last few years.

3.) Felger, of all people, has been harping on how Flacco can't throw left, and it's pretty spot on. His right to left ratio is >3:1 (It was 23:8 in our first matchup). With our new found success in the secondary, I hope to hell that we load up coverage on the right side and blitz the ever living piss out of him.

4.) Coincidentally, as another poster pointed out, Flacco doesn't handle the blitz well. I don't know how often we blitzed in the first matchup, but we were rarely blitzing early in the season, so it was likely limited. This time around I doubt he's so lucky.

A few people have said he's due for a bad game. That's BS. He's going to play well if we give him the opportunity to play well. Unfortunately for Joe, I don't think he's going to have the opportunity.

Well, all this is hypothetical. Could be a bad day for our defense/secondary as well just like denver had last week. You never know.

He doesn't really make his living on deep bombs though, so he is actually more immune to wind than Flacco. He throws a harder, more accurate short ball, too, which helps in windy conditions.

Sure, that goes without saying. Any given Sunday...

Their OL is much improved the past few games. Against Denver in 5 quarters+ of play, I think they only hit him 3 times. Pats need to apply more pressure than Denver did.

Is Birk still their center?

I hear that Wilcott guy is pretty damn good.

Which is why a more realistic title to you thread might have been-
"Could be a bad day for Flacco, but then again, could be a good day for Flacco. Who knows? Any given Sunday and all that jazz."

I was hopeful coming over this thread looking to possibly find some as-of-now undisclosed information you exclusively had as to why Joe Flacco is going to be experiencing unfavorable conditions and/or situations that'd cause him to perform poorly on Sunday.

Nope. Just found another thread stating the obvious. I wish the game would get here already.

It could be a bad day for Brady as well,The Ravens are the only team in the NFL who Brady has more INTs than TDs

The QBs will be as good as their OLs are and how much time they allow the QB to throw......this game, like most will be won in the trenches.

What? I'm pretty sure he made two very clear points ( 1 and 2) that are based on facts we can agree with.
