Why don't our media guys do articles on how the Patriots can slow the Ravens' offense? Why doesn't he analyze the Chiefs vs. Ravens game & tell us how the Chiefs held Baltimore to 9 pts.?

seems like he thinks Ravens can put 12 or 13 guys on defense

How do Ravens double team both Wes and Aaron without leaving
other options in favorable match ups.

For PatsDeb:

Troy Brown: Keys to Patriots beating Ravens

- Spread out the Ravens defense, and keep up the tempo

- Fix the special teams coverage

- Get back on defense in pass coverage, especially on the right side

Curran: 'Ray Lewis is a liability in coverage right now'

- Go after Ray Lewis in pass coverage

- As opposed to what Peyton Manning did (get to the line quick and gesticulate), get to the line quick and snap the ball

- Use Shane Vereen in speed mismatches

- 188 snaps in two weeks for the Ravens defense; they could be fatigued

Hm, Bedard doesn't at all talk about moving to a 2 RB formation with Vereen and Ridley, depending on if you wanted to pass or run more.

You could pound the rock with Ridley and occasionally use him as a FB for Vereen in space. Or you could split Vereen out wide and hand off or pass and use Ridley as a pass protector in a blitz situation.

The possibilities are endless. Woodhead and Vereen at the same time would be tits if Woodhead can play, since he'd probably be the one pass blocking.

The Patriots have been overachievers the past two years. It doesn't have the talent to compensate for injuries, and it wins so much because it puts in 99% effort in the regular season and plays with terrific schemes to mask its deficiencies.

But in the playoffs a good team at 99% will not beat emotional, talented teams that play at 100%. It's what happened against the Giants in 2011 and the Ravens in 2012.

Hah, Pees was asked how to slow Brady. Answer:"Hire Tonya Harding."

What Bedard stated was entirely accurate. That's EXACTLY what the Pats should expect to see. Hell, the Ravens HAVE to try and take Welker and Hernandez out of the game. The good news is that the Pats know this as well. They've had to play a lot of games without Gronk this season and a LOT of teams have tried to take Welker and Hernandez out of the game.

Personally I'll be excited to see how Josh will attack what the Ravens will try and do. Lloyd and the RBs will get a lot of opportunities. Also I wouldn't be surprised to see Daniel Fells and or Hooman get a few targets this week.

We've had a second TE on the field for the majority of the snaps in games Gronk and Hernandez have missed. To date, they haven't been thrown to for the most part. It wouldn't shock me to see one of the two #3 TE's have a "Shane Vareen" type game, out of the blue. Fell is a capable receiver, and the Ravens certainly wouldn't be expecting a guy who was a healthy scratch last week get any primary looks this week.
