(PHOTO: Jim O'Connor - USA TODAY Sports) Following up on Tom Brady’s ankle injury on Sunday, it sounds like the veteran dodged a bullet and an MRI on Monday confirmed that he didn’t suffer anything significant during the team’s 20-10 loss to Miami.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Brady’s MRI revealed nothing more than a sprain and the quarterback is expected to be fine when the team takes the field in two weeks.
Tom Brady underwent MRI on ankle that revealed a sprain but no breaks, no fractures, per league source. Expected to be ready for playoffs.

Brady suffered the injury following a low hit by Miami’s Ndamukong Suh, who fell on Brady’s ankle during Sunday’s contest. Brady hobbled off the field but didn’t miss a snap, with the veteran getting his ankle taped and later returning to the game.
The Patriots will open the Divisional Round on Saturday, January 16th at 4:35pm ET and will take on either Cincinnati, Houston, or Kansas City at Gillette Stadium.
