Cornerback J.C. Jackson had a breakout year for the New England Patriots in 2020.

Just two years removed from his signing as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland, Jackson set career highs in starts (11), tackles (37), passes defended (14), and interceptions (9). His total interceptions ranked second in the NFL, just one short of Xavien Howard’s league leading 10.

For the second consecutive season, Jackson played in all 16 games for the Patriots and finished with a defensive playing time share of 83.7 percent (851 of 1,017). Only safety Devin McCourty, who played 94.5 percent of defensive snaps, was on the field more often than Jackson.

Between weeks 6 and 10, Jackson set the Patriots franchise record for most consecutive games with an interception (5).

On Wednesday, the NFL shared some Jackson highlights from this past season over Twitter.

Take a look.

Jackson will become a restricted free agent in March, but with the Patriots cap space expected to be high, a return to New England for the 2021 season appears to be favorable scenario.
