(PHOTO: Steve Balestrieri - PatsFans.com) On Monday, defensive end Richard Seymour became the 30th member of the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.
Hear the exact moment Seymour found out the news when he received a phone call from Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft to announce that he was the newest inductee.

During his press conference with the media Monday, Seymour shared his reaction to the call and what it meant to him to be a Patriots Hall of Famer.
“When I first got the news, obviously it was an opportunity for me to kind of reflect. I thought back to the day I was drafted and my mom and my dad and my family all being there. You just think about all of the hard work that it took just to be drafted. And now, to be considered a Patriots Hall of Famer is a tremendous honor.”
Seymour also discussed Kraft’s statement about himself which said he “laid the foundation for the defense.”
“For me, like I said, it’s a tremendous honor. I have a picture down in the basement of Mr. Kraft and Jonathan holding up a No. 1 jersey and the stadium in the background was being built at the time, so I think it was very fitting to be laying the foundation.”
Seymour will receive his red jacket at a special ceremony that will be announced at a later date.
