Heading into Week 5, the New England Patriots were seeking to rebound from a tough loss at home to the Carolina Panthers but on short rest heading into a Thursday night matchup with an up and coming Tampa Bay Buccaneers team.

The Patriots were seeking to avoid their first 2-3 start since the 2001 season.

In the first quarter, things got off to a sloppy start for Tom Brady and the offense, with Brady throwing his first interception of 2017.

Neither team could get much going, but Dion Lewis ripped off his longest run of the season. It would lead to a Stephen Gostkowski field goal to put the Patriots up 3-0 after a quarter.

In the second, the Bucs reached the end zone first, with Doug Martin returning from suspension and making his presence known. 7-3 Tampa Bay.

Seeking a response, Brady found James White to help put the Patriots back into position to regain the league.

Throughout the first half, the  game was defined by undisciplined play and ugly penalties by both the Patriots and Buccaneers as former Patriots chimed in. Tom bRADY

Tom Brady would find Chris Hogan as the Patriots regained the lead, they would also tack on a field goal to go into the half up 13-7.

In the second half, the Patriots defense continued to keep the Bucs off the scoreboard, but also got a few assists from Bucs kicker Nick Folk, who missed three field goals.

Jameis Winston would find tight end Cameron Brate for a garbage time score.

After the game, the internet acted appropriately to Folks rough night.

The Patriots would hold on and win 19-14 to move into a first place tie in the AFC East at 3-2.
