Despite an up and down season, New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week following his strong performance against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

It is the second time in 2016 Gostkowski has earned player of the week honors following his week one showing versus the Arizona Cardinals. On Sunday, Gostkowski was his old, reliable self to a tune of a perfect four for four on field goal attempts including three from 45 plus yards (48, 45 and 45).

This was the third time in his career where he was successful on three field goals of more than 40 yards. The last time came on October 12th, 2014 versus the Buffalo Bills. Gostkowski has now made four or more kicks in a single game 11 times over his career.

According to the Patriots.com press release, Gostkowski’s honors marked “the eighth time this season that a Patriots player has earned an NFL honor, including both of Gostkowski’s honor. Brady was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week following his Week 5 performance at Cleveland and in Week 11 at San Francisco. He was also named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October. P Ryan Allen was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance vs. Houston in Week 3. RB LeGarrette Blount was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, while LB Dont’a Hightower earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in a Week 6 win vs. Cincinnati.”
