Martellus Bennett Writes Emotional Letter To Daughter Following Election
Winslow Townson - USA TODAY Sports
New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett hasn’t been afraid to speak his mind over social media since signing with the team earlier this year. On Election Day, he tweeted out his support of Hillary Clinton and following the results of Tuesday’s vote, he posted an emotional letter to his daughter on Instagram in response to the Trump victory.
Bennett was asked about the letter by the media, he stated that while playing a game for a living is fun, being a father is what really matters and his letter was meant to bring more “social unity” rather than divide people.
