New England Patriots Hall of Fame nominee and longtime Tom Brady teammate Kevin Faulk might have just made his winning pitch for selection on the second night of the 2016 NFL Draft in Chicago.
Sporting a Tom Brady jersey underneath his suit jacket, Faulk took the podium to announce the Patriots pick.
“With the 78th pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots and Tom Brady select Joe Thuney, linebacker, North Carolina State,” Faulk boldly proclaimed. The announcement came just as NFL Executive Vice President of Football operations Troy Vincent was on stage to introduce Faulk.
The response was predictable boos from the audience and some slight chuckles from the NFL Network broadcast crew but none made mention to Faulk’s actions live on air.
ESPN did not broadcast both Patriots second round picks, instead they were on commercial break.
Kevin Faulk deserves to be in the Patriots Hall of Fame regardless. I wonder if he just won the vote by wearing the Brady jersey on stage.

There is a reason people respect Kevin Faulk so much.
