With the Patriots now lacking a fullback on the depth chart due to the loss of James Develin (pictured above) for the season with a broken foot; Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times is reporting the Patriots have invited former Buccaneers 2015 seventh round pick fullback Joey Isoefa to Foxboro on Thursday for a visit and workouts.
Originally a running back at the University of Hawaii before transitioning to fullback, Isoefa was released by the Buccaneers on August 30th and was on the teams practice squad during training camp and their three preseason games this season.
According to NFLTradeRumors.com, in four seasons at Hawaii, Iosefa ran for 2,218 yards on 512 carries along with 60 receptions for 438 yards receiving and 24 total touchdowns.
