CHARLOTTE, NC — ESPN.com reports that linebacker Tedy Bruschi sustained an undisclosed head injury during the Patriots 38-6 victory over the Panthers.
Patriots spokesperson Stacy James told ESPN.com that a trainer asked Bruschi what was wrong, and Bruschi said his head hurt and he could not continue to play.
After the Jets victory over the Oakland Raiders Bruschi will now have a week off to recover after New England earned the #2 seed in the playoffs and a first round bye as a result of the Raider loss.
