It does, but then again, if you're out of the loop with personnel like Mayo clearly is, you have to make chicken salad from chicken ****.
It was nice they let him in the draft room to call the draftees though. Hope he felt like he was part of the team.
Passing on Mitchell twice is going to come back to haunt them, big time. But don't say you could have had Polk at 68. I said that draft night, and had 4 people immediately saying they couldn't, so they're obviously right.
Edit: Players you could have had at 37:
Adonai Mitchell
Kool-Aid...
No. I'm saying if they want to cut him, they can easily afford to do so. Your characterization that his contract is 'too heavy to move' is simply wrong.
Personally, I'd like to keep him, he's the only WR we have on the roster that's ever been a high-level receiver in the league at any point...
Again, it's not, if they really want to cut him. It's a $12.2 million cap hit, and the Patriots are about $45 million under the cap.
Edit: You can 'I don't agree' all you want. If they want to cut him, they can easily do it, and have plenty of cap room to spare. I don't know if they want...
I've got him at 4.62, which is passable at least.

Runs a lot like a certain carrot. A leg carrot, if you will.
