yeah, shanny is on a fact finding mission to relaunch his coaching career next season. said he wanted to check out some successful programs, particularly running the 3-4.
on one hand its cool, on the other, i'm not sure i want him to pick up too much, know what i'm saying?
Re: We could have had pick #19 and KEPT Vrabel
i don't think that article says what you think it says.
what it says is, IF Denver was willing to give up Jay Cutler for Matt Cassel THEN Tampa would be willing to part with #19 (in order to get Cutler, NOT Cassel).
By all accounts, Denver...
the reason vrabel was included in the deal is because he simply has more value to the Kansas City Chiefs than he does to the New England Patriots and he was basically a throw in.
Vrabel isn't the player he once was on the field but he's still the same guy in the locker room and that is...
i definitely remember him being pretty adamant that if the pats wound up franchising cassel it would be as brady insurance, NOT to trade him for picks.
Re: Hey, Peter King Answered My Question (Without Saying Anything!)..
i presume the "price" you were asking about was what the pats would get for Cassel in terms of compensation, and not what Cassel would be making on his new team, right?
King's such a knob.
Re: This post season shapping up to be one of the most forgettable...
i'm kind of hoping the cardinals win the super bowl and it forever goes down in history as an anomaly -- the year Brady didn't play.
Re: Isnt KCs offer to Pioli a demotion?? (if true)
titles are all semantics.
what's important is whether or not Pioli has final say on personnel and if he can hire and fire the coaching staff.
currently Belichick has final say and control of the coaching staff.
So any additional power...
I meant to touch on this in my original post.
And again, hopefully we're several years or more from this being an issue, and a lot could change between now and then, but how does BB's current relationship with both the media and other fan bases play into it?
I have to think the media...
i think we all know that the guy behind the podium is intentionally obtuse, evasive and dull. But i think once he's retired and doesn't have the best interest of a football team to worry about, Belichick could quickly and easily become the most knowledgeable and engaging NFL personality on TV...
My guess is that anything short of them telling Brady he could return to the game on the next play would result in him screamingand yelling a lot.
not saying its good news, certainly, but i'm sure brady was pissed. not sure it says anything about the extent of his injury.
in 2003 BB released Milloy a few days before the season and was relying on Geno and Assante.
My recollection is that it worked out to our satisfaction.
since the game is going to be on NFL Network tomorrow at 7am, i think i'll just try to shield myself from any scores/news and wait the 12 hours and pretend the game is "live" then.
although, i will be watching the sox tonight, does NESN usually run pats scores on the ticker? that might be a...
yeah, the reality is, print media has been marginalized in some part because on the radio, online and even on TV now, it's totally fair game to discuss things that are not sourced and are not hard news.
in order to stay relevant, print media feels it needs talk about the things that are being...
yeah, if players are going to call me out for not making enough noise when I'm shelling out $100 to watch THEM do their job, I'm gonna go ahead and consider myself part of the team.
