That's an extremely mid haul for #3 overall actually. #11 is about half the value of #3, and a 2025 1st has the value of a 2024 2nd. Then there are the unspecified "pick swaps that favor the VIKINGS."
That's a deal you take when you genuinely hate all the options left, not if you actually rate...
The truth is if any of the TV and internet jabronis whose player takes you all treat as gospel actually knew anything, they'd have a real job doing it.
You don't know who will or won't bust. You don't kmow who was taken too high or too low. It's all posing and jerking off.
This idea that college QBs just are what they are is psychotic.
Brady himself is on the record talking about how he was too slow at processing and decision making as a rookie and how the coaches harped on it. Even Tom Brady wasn't TOM BRADY as a player until, what, late 2003 or 2004? Aaron...
If you look at the 3+ championship coaches you have guys who had long stretches with HOF QBs, and Joe Gibbs. And nobody is seriously calling Gibbs the GOAT coach.
Free agency kinda sucks for WR, a mediocre 1/strong 2 got bananas overpaid and everyone else is super meh. The Pats can't magically change who is on the market, and trading draft picks for a WR in a strong WR draft feels stupid.
LT is kind of the same way. Bad year to get them in FA but maybe a...
I mean, who is the franchise savior in FA the Pats have missed on so far? I'm not sure they're even out there this year. I'm all for a splashy FA siging but the crop feels pretty meh to me.
Mostly the Pats just seem to be acting normal, which feels like a relief. They certainly haven't "won...
Shockingly, the Pats can't cut literally everyone and replace them with All Pros. They need depth guys too and their big holes probably have to wait for the draft.
Any free agent who isn't an All-Pro has people here cry like a biotch about it.
Shockingly most teams have a fair number of, like, normal players for depth. This is that kind of move.
At least now we won't have paranoid freaks ranting about how the new regime is going to start Mac in 2024 because Kraft supposedly loved him SO MUCH.
LOL
Not that anyone would ask, but as soon as Bill left I thought he should just take a year off and maybe reflect on why things ended so badly before rushing back in.
I can totally see him having a bounce back as a coach on a different team if he makes any effort to learn from the last few years.
